Each with reeded gallery above a single door, one with reeded legs, with pencil inscription 'Thomas Whiteside/ Lancaster July 3th 1819', the other with turned legs, stamped 'GILLOWS LANCASTER'

Thomas Whiteside was apprenticed to Leonard Redmayne on 5 August 1816, while another Thomas Whiteside was recorded as making a pedestal bedside stand for Ferguson & Co in November 1816 (S.Stuart, Gillows of Lancaster and London, 1730 - 1840, Woodbridge, 2008, vol. II, p. 297).
