Tasting note: The 2001 Barbaresco Crichët Pajé comes across as very young, but then again it was only bottled August 2010! Freshly cut flowers, liquorice and mint are some of the notes that flow from this vibrant, perfumed Barbaresco. The 2001 fleshes out beautifully in the glass. It is a towering wine that can be enjoyed within the next few years, but ideally it is best left alone for as long as readers can be patient. This is a fabulous showing from Luca Roagna.
