'Ali bin Ahmad bin Muhammad bin 'Ali bin Mattuya, Abu al-Hasan al-Wahidi was a scholar and mufassir from Nishapur. He composed a number of works on tafsir, as well other works on literature, including this commentary of Al-Mutannabi's Diwan (Al-Zerekly, Al-A'lam, Biographical Dictionary, Beirut, 2007, vol.
