The buffalo-headed deity is depicted striding in alidhasana on animals and prostrate figures over a lotus base, the central hands holding a curved knife and skull cup and the others outstretched, and the central face flanked and surmounted by additional faces and backed by the flaming hair. Vajra Vetali stands with one leg wrapped around her consort, holding a curved knife and skull cup, and looking into Vajrabhairava's face.
