QING DYNASTY, 17TH-18TH CENTURY

A similar zitan and huanghuali cabinet of this decorative design but carved with mythical lions on the floating panel, and anbaxiang motifs on the frames and apron, dating to the 17th century, is in the Liang Yi Collection, included in the exhibition, Splendor of Style: Classical Furniture from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, National Museum of History, Taipei, and illustrated in the Catalogue, 1999, p. 179.
