PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED on front blank: ‘Cooper Preston Esq. With Miss Currer’s Kind Regards’. Catalogue of the great collection of England's first acknowledged female bibliophile. One of one hundred copies printed for private circulation. An earlier (and less augmented) catalogue of the collection was published in 1820 [see lot 253]. Most of the books in her library were auctioned at Sotheby's in 1862, realizing £6,000. Taylor, p. 5.
