Marc Rosenberg notes that Gustav Friedrich Gericht registered two marks. His first mark GF above G in a trefoil was seen on three silver chafing dishes of 1802 in the Silberkammer Darmstadt. Works by Gericht in the collection of the Grand Dukes of Saxe-Altenburg were exhibited at the Decorative Arts Museum Leipzig, 1897, cat. no. 84 and 85 (M. Rosenberg, Der Goldschmiede Merkzeichen, Frankfurt, 1922, p. 327, no. 1021 and 1022).
