NEAR EAST OR NORTH AFRICA, 9TH/10TH CENTURY
Qur'an L (sura qaf), vv.36-45 and Qur'an LI (sura al-dhariyat), vv.30-43, Arabic manuscript on vellum, with 8ll. of gold kufic script outlined in sepia, the verses marked with clusters of two roundels topped by a triangular motif to form a palmette, outlined in sepia with orange and blue highlights, fine diacritics possibly a later addition
