Compare the Junyao bowl of the same unusual shape and large size in the Metropolitan Museum of Art illustrated by S. Valenstein in A Handbook of Chinese Ceramics, New York, 1989 ed., p. 100, no. 94. See, also, the Junyao deep bowl of very similar form, but of slightly smaller size (17.8 cm. diameter, 15 cm. high), in the Palace Museum, Beijing, illustrated in Zhongguo Taoci Quanji, Junyao (Jun Ware), vol. 12, Shanghai, 1983, no. 36.
