Each finely painted and enriched with the arms of Todd quartering Plowes, the crest of a a fox passant above, within gilt scrollwork and rose garlands, the gadrooned rims enriched in gilt, comprising two two-handled soup tureens, covers and stands; three two-handled sauce-tureens covers and stands; three shaped rectangular vegetable dishes and covers; thirteen graduated shaped oval platters in seven sizes; twenty-seven soup plates; fifty-six dinner plates; twenty-five dessert plates

The present coat of arms is that of Joseph Todd Esq. (c.1767-1835). A very successful haberdasher, he retired to his house Twickenham Park as a millionaire in 1822. He was granted this coat-of-arms on 12 December 1823, and this service was likely ordered in celebration of this grant.
