A PARCEL-GILT BRONZE INCENSE BOX AND COVER
JIAJING PERIOD (1522-1566)
The circular cover is cast and gilt with a pair of deer on a hill with shrubs and lingzhi beneath a tall aged pine tree with billowing clouds above. Both the sides of the box and cover are similarly decorated with a band of bosses enclosing a stylised motif.
