Shaped oval, the stands on four scroll feet, the double-domed covers with detachable upper sections and crest finial and engraved with coat-of-arms, marked on bases, covers and finials, the covers struck with inventory numbers '3' and '4'

144 oz. 10 dwt. (4,496 gr.)
The arms are those of Price impaling Hardy, for Ralph Price (1780-1860), of Sydenham, co. Kent and his wife Charlotte (d.1850), second daughter of Lt. Col. Thomas Carteret Hardy, whom he married in 1805.
