Gilt-finished jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, wolf tooth's winding, minute repeating on two hammers, gold cuvette, white enamel dial, Roman numerals, outer five minute divisions with red Arabic numerals, four sunk subsidiary dials for day, date, month and moon phases with lunar calendar and constant seconds, heay circular case, engraved initials OC&i to the front, repeating slide in the band, case and cuvette numbered, cuvette signed Chr. Grottendieck, Horloger, Bruxelles

Bernard Poitevin was a watchmaker and retailer located in Geneva and Paris. Around 1900 he took over the watch manufacture L. Gironde and consequently the firm was renamed to Poitevin, Gironde Successeurs. The manufacture specialized in high quality watches, with and without complications, and chronometers with Geneva Bulletin d'Observatoire.
