A FAMILLE ROSE 'BOYS' VASE
20TH CENTURY
The vase is painted to the exterior of the body with boys holding auspicious objects and engaging in various playful activities such as lighting a firecracker, dragging a sleigh of pomegranates and carrying a giant peach, all between a lappet band and floral ruyi border. The neck is applied with two mythical beast heads. There is an apocryphal Hongxian mark to the base.
