A FAMILLE ROSE 'LANDSCAPE AND CALLIGRAPHY' SQUARE-SECTION VASE, CONG
REPUBLIC PERIOD (1912-1949)
The vase is delicately enamelled to two sides with figures in a boat in a mountainous river landscape, one amongst pine trees and the other amongst water reeds. These alternate with two panels of calligraphy, both sides are dated dingsi year and one side is signed "Xuren He" with two seals reading "Xuren" and "Hechu". The other side bears the seal "He Xuren yin". The base has an iron-red "Cheng Huaiyuan zhi" mark.
