MARK OF CHARLES-NICOLAS ODIOT, PARIS, 1819-1838
Each piece lobed and chased with foliage scrolls, engraved with two coats-of-arms accolé below a coronet, comprising: a kettle, stand and lamp; a coffee-pot; a teapot; a tea-strainer, each with ivory or ivory-insulated handles; a basket; a sugar-bowl; a cream-jug; a toast-rack; an egg-cruet with six spoons; a salver; twelve teaspoons; a pair of sugar-tongs and a butter-knife by Dominique Laporte, all contained in a fitted brass-bound oak case

The accolé arms are those of August, Prince of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (1818-1881), and his wife Marie Clementine (1817-1907), youngest daughter of Louis Philippe I, King of the French, who he married in 1843.
