With hand-rotated octagonal to round barrels each with engraved ornament at the breech, silver fore-sights, barrel-tang engraved en suite with the breeches, signed engraved flat bevelled back-action lock with stepped tail, highly figured rootwood full stock comprising separate moulded butt and fore-end, the latter mounted with the ramrod to one side, engraved iron mounts comprising scrolling side-plate, spurred pommel and sprung trigger-guard which acts as the barrel-release
20 7/8 in. (53 cm.) overall
Each barrel bearing the engraved monogram of Languedoc (Der Neue Støckel 7760) towards the breech, the escutcheon, side-plate and pommel each bearing the crowned triple fleur-de-lys of the French Royal family
