Arabic manuscript on paper, 421ff. plus three fly-leaves, each folio with 12ll. of large black naskh script between double black-ruled divisions, with Persian interlinear translation in red nasta'liq script, gold roundel verse markers outlined in black, sura headings in blue thuluth script on gold ground within illuminated cartouches, text within blue and black-ruled gold frame, original marginal commentary in black nasta'liq script, each line in gold cloud band, with floral section markers, catchwords, opening, intermediate and final bifolios heavily illuminated in gold and polychrome, added date of AH [1]195, in contemporaneous lacquered papier-mâché binding
