A MUGHAL GOLD AND 'JEWEL'-INLAID WHITE JADE-HILTED DAGGER
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The finely-polished white jade hilt is inlaid with 'jewels' and gold wire with bands of floral meander set between smaller decorative borders that follow the curves of the well-carved handle. The jade is of attractive white tone. The steel blade is two-edged and the wood scabbard is covered in red velvet.
