A related Regency cabinet, with landscape vignettes and dragon-painted plinth, has been attributed to the artist-designer Frederick Crace (1779-1859) who was employed on the Chinese decoration of George, Prince Regent's Marine Pavilion, Brighton (M. Aldrich, The Craces: Royal Decorators 1768-1899, London, 1990, p. 23, fig 1:12).
