The censer, of rectangular section, is raised on four cylindrical feet. Each side is intricately embellished with gold and silver inlay to depict a taotie mask below a band of confronting stylised archaistic dragons. Each of the four corners is divided by vertical protruding flanges and the mouth rim is set with a pair of upright loop handles.
