One of Calvi's final creations was a polyrchromed variegated marble group entitled 'The Minstrel', exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1883. This was the basis for the majolica and terracotta models made in Austrian . See Christie's London, 29 September 2005, lot 65, for a marble version signed by Calvi.
