拍品专文

The present tankard is closely comparable to a sycamore maple tankard in the Royal Danish Kunstkammer, National Museum, Copenhagen (B. Gundestrup, The Royal Danish Kunstkammer 1737, Denmark, 1991, p. 319, no. 2 D 101). It also has very similar foliate decoration to a Norwegian burr birch peg tankard formerly in the Syd Levethan collection and which was sold at Christie's, London, 11 June 2010, lot 1010 for £39,650.
