The kidney-shaped hinged top inlaid with birds amidst floral sprays and flowerheads, centred with a slide revealing a mirrored bois satiné interior, flanked by a pair of shaped wells, above a conformingly-inlaid frieze with a brown leather-lined writing slide and a short drawer, on foliate-headed slender cabriole legs with scrolled feet, stamped three times 'P.ROUSSEL' and once 'JME'
