A PAIR OF ROMAN GOLD EARRINGS

Each formed of a plain hoop tapering at one end to a hook-and-loop closure, fronted by an oval flanged box bezel set with a cabochon oval garnet, edged in granulation, centered by a single larger granule, suspending a ring with a drop threaded through a bead (one pearl and one glass in imitation of pearl), four granules at the join of the ring to the shaft; together with a pair of Roman gold and garnet earrings, each boat-shaped, tapering to wires that form the closure, fronted by a disk centered by a cabochon garnet in a dog-tooth setting, surrounded by granulation
