The design of the present lot is rare and combines a number of different east Caucasian weaving attributes. Whilst the field design is commonly found in Zejwa carpets, the addition of small inverted ram's horn motifs between each radiating medallion is more commonly found on Perepedil weavings. The most unusual design element however is the extraordinarily broad lattice border which is traditionally found within the field designs of Konagkend.
