Of typical divit shape, the openwork qalamdans holder cut with dense floral lattice between two registers of scrolling foliate tendrils, the upper engraved with a calligraphic inscription in loose script, the sides ornate with applied nielloed-silver elongated medallions with double-quatrefoil, with two attached octagonal inkwells, each engraved with floriate motifs, the larger with applied nielloed-silver plaques
