A SMALL GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF BUDDHA
TANG DYNASTY (AD 618-907)
The figure is shown seated in virasana, with right hand in abhaya mudra, wearing robes draped in folds around the body and falling in deep folds across the edge of the pedestal base cast at the bottom with a row of lotus petals above the stepped, faceted sides. A small pierced tenon projects from the back, and two from the bottom of the base.
