AN UNUSUAL SMALL FAMILLE ROSE HEXAGONAL VASE
REPUBLIC PERIOD (1912-1949)
The faceted, pear-shaped body is delicately decorated with a continuous scene of a flock of geese either still in flight or already feeding in a field of millet beside a lake where one goose is shown in the water while another stands on a rock amidst roses and peonies. An iron-red hallmark, Jing yuan tang zhi (Hall of Traquility and Remoteness), is on the base.
