A LONGQUAN CELADON IMPRESSED BOWL
MING DYNASTY, 15TH CENTURY
The heavily potted bowl has deep rounded sides raised on a small straight foot, and is impressed in the center of the interior with an indistinct circular medallion and around the sides with a continuous frieze of a boy amidst lotus scroll below a key-fret border repeated on the exterior above a broad band of narrow upright petals, all under a glaze of olive-green color that continues over the foot.
6 7/8 in. (17.5 cm.) diam.
