The pale-green coach-work painted with the monogram 'J.A.' to each side, below a raised canopy, the baize-lined interior with side straps and two box-seats, the body suspended from springs to the black-lined, cream-painted chassis by leather straps, the front wheels articulated to turn, the whole drawn by a single shaft, the springs stamped 'F.COUVERT'; together with a sheet of French newspaper dating to the late 18th century which was discovered in the roof lining during the restoration of the carriage, old restorations, redecorated
