the hood with swan-neck pediment centred by a turned baluster urn finial, with fret-work between, gilt-brass-capped outset columns, the breakarch door inlaid with an urn, within bellflower swags, a further urn and foliate scrolls inlaid to the plinth on bracket feet, the associated George III 11in.(28cm.) square brass dial with cherub mask and foliate spandrels, foliate engraving between, signed John Andrews Londini fecit on the silvered chapter ring, matted centre with silvered date aperture, ringed winding holes, associated silvered seconds ring above, the associated four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; case, dial and movement composite and adapted -- 89¼in.(227cm.) high
