the waisted case cast with trophies to the top and leaves and ribbons to the sides, with recess below modelled with further trophies, on stepped break front white marble base with toupie feet, the white enamel Roman dial with Arabic five minutes and pierced gilt-metal hands, indistinct signature (some chipping to winding holes), the movement with platform escapement and strike on bell -- 13¾in.(35cm.) high
