the leaf cast case surmounted by a figure of Chronos, with panels to the sides pierced with flowers and others above with geometric designs, on four foliate scroll supports mounted with the figure of a woman in flowing robes to the front, with rocaille feet, the white enamel Roman dial within fluted bezel and with blued moon hands, signed F. Villemsens A PARIS (chipping to left winding hole), with associated 19th century twin barrel movement with countwheel strike on bell and silk suspension -- 17½in.(44.5cm.) high
