Vase-shaped on pedestal foot, cover with waisted neck and domed top with ball finial, gadroon borders, engraved to one side with the contemporary arms of Heathcote quarteing Moyer, the family crest on cover, the other side later engraved with the arms of Pershall of Doughton, Lincs., the interior with detachable tapering cylindrical heating compartment with pull-off silver-mounted cork stopper, wooden scroll handle terminating in a leaf junction at top
