Of high-shouldered, ovoid form, the yellow-toned glass bottle is accented with reddish-brown splashes, the effect suggestive of tortoiseshell.

Another of the large group of Imperial Glassworks bottles intended as gifts, the bubbles in the glass of this bottle were used intentionally as inclusions. A similar bottle exhibiting the same effect suggestive of tortoiseshell from the Blanche B. Exstein Collection was sold in these rooms, 21 March 2002, lot 15.
