Crisply carved with bold chrysanthemum blooms, this bottle is part of a mid-Qing group probably produced in Beijing for the Court, but not necesarily exclusively. The bottles vary slightly in size and shape and display a range of bird and flower designs. A related bottle from the Meriem Collection, carved with lotus plants and birds, was sold in these rooms, 19 September 2007, lot 636.
