Decorated overall with scrolling foliage in contre partie, the central plate within a moulded foliate surround surmounted by a roundell applied with putti representing Time, above a serpentine top additionally inlaid in mother-of-pearl, copper, pewter and ivory and green-painted marquetry decorated with a Berainesque scene, above a waved frieze centred by a putto with floral bouquet, on cabriole legs headed by caryatids terminating in hoof sabots
