The case with dolphin scroll handle to basket repousse top, glazed side panels, applied repousse brass mounts to front and sides, stepped moulded plinth, the 7 inch (circa 17 cm.) square brass dial with cherub spandrels, silvered chapter ring with sword-hilt half hour markers, blued steel hands, ringed winding holes, date aperture below XII, five pillar movement, two fusees with later steel lines, movement secured to the case with catches, verge escapement (possibly reconverted), strike and repeat on bell above, engraved backplate with hold fast and signature plaque signed isaac Papavoine Londini fecit
