AN INSCRIBED WHITE JADE MELON-FORM PEBBLE
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The pebble is smoothly carved in melon shape entwined with interlacing vines and serrated leaves. It is inscribed on one side with a poem, signed Chunhe Zhuren and followed by an oval seal which reads Chunhe. The stone is of an even white tone with concentrated areas of russet skin.
