The first plaque is painted with a study of men playing go and is dated 1930, there are two seals of the artist. The second is a commemorative plaque dated 1918 finely painted in tones of grisaille and sepia depicting Wu Yun, titled bai pin hua guan zhuren xiao xiang translating 'A portrait of the Master of the White Duckweed Flower Establishment'. The domed jar lid is decorated to the exterior in gilt and enamels and inscribed "Painted at Pearl Hill by the owner of the bai pin hua guan (White Duckweed Flower Establishment)", and is dated 1912.

The commemorative plaque is believed to be the first recorded portrait painting by Wang Qi. The Duckweed Flower Establishment was a retail shop in Jingdezhen, the owner of which was a patron and friend of the artist.
