REPUBLIC PERIOD (1912-49), IRON-RED SHILU MARK
The conical bowl is finely decorated with a pair of quails on a grassy embankment with chrysanthemum, rocks and bamboo, inscribed with lines of an auspicious poem reading huanghua xiuzhu cheng jiaqu, ruyi pingan niao baoyin, expressing the wish for prosperity and peace, all under a decorative border in blue enamel below the rim.
