A WHITE JADE ELEPHANT
19TH/20TH CENTURY
The animal is carved standing four square its head is turned to one side and its trunk is curled. The ornate saddle is carved in low relief with a lotus, the tasseled side cloth is decorated with scrolling ruyi clouds above foaming waves. The stone is of an even tone.
