A GILT AND ENAMELLED DECORATED FIGURE OF AN IMMORTAL
LATE 18TH/19TH CENTURY
The figure is intricately modelled wearing a celestial scarf, winged headdress and loose flowing robes that fall in folds, he stands with his hands clasped before him in prayer on a base of waves through which appears a dragon's head, his brown enamelled robes are finely detailed in gilt with dragons, clouds and scrolling foliage, the base, his scarf and headdress are variously enamelled in speckled lavender, turquoise and dark blue tones.
