With Urban Jürgensen Certificate of Origin dated 31 May 2012, operating instructions in German, original fitted veneered and ostrich leather presentation box and outer packaging.
Consigned by its first owner, the present watch is preserved in like new overall condition.
Urban Jürgensen's Reference 3 has been introduced as the natural successor to the Reference 2. As its predecessor, it features an extremely thin 35-jewelled automatic movement with perpetual calendar but with the addition of the power reserve. Many precision watches, particularly marine chronometers, feature another hand indicating the state-of-wind of the mainspring. This is commonly known as the "up and down" indicator or "power reserve". When the watch is worn continuously the mainspring will normally be kept fully wound and the hand will indicate "up". However, if the watch is not worn for any reason it will gradually run down and the hand will show exactly how long it has to run at any time. Urban Jürgensen have incorporated this useful complication in the Reference 3 without increasing the thickness of the only 2.4 mm. thin movement, involving nearly 2 years of development to design a small mechanism with some 3 dozen and adding an additional 10 jewels.
Made in an exceedingly small series only, the watches were available in yellow gold, pink gold and platinum. Connoisseurs are particularly attracted by this model's simple and practical dial layout displaying the full perpetual calendar functions beautifully and elegantly.
