LATE MING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
The baluster body is cast in relief with a wide meandering lotus scroll between lotus lappet bands to the shoulder and base. The flaring neck is applied with a pair of dragon-head handles and similarly decorated. The base is cast with an apocryphal Xuande six-character mark within a square. The bronze has a dark brown to rich toffee patina.
