Pilot Boat New Jersey

The Pilot Boat New Jersey served as a guide to ships entering and exiting the complicated New York Harbor. Beginning in 1694 pilot boats from the Sandy Hook and the New York and New Jersey area have led commercial traffic in and out of New York. Pilot boats have a rich history and have served during every American war since the War of 1812. Modern Day pilot boats assisted with the response and recovery to attacks on September 11, 2001.
