Compare a similar bowl, also with Jiaqing seal mark, included in the exhibition, Qing Mark and Period Monochrome and Two-Coloured Wares, S. Marchant & Son, London, 7-26 June 1992, no. 51. Two other similar bowls are illustrated by G. Lang in The Powell-Cotton Collection of Chinese Ceramics, Birchington, Kent, 1987, nos. 109 and 110. Also see a fine example sold in these rooms, 24 March 2004, lot 223.
