AN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND YELLOW-GLAZED 'DRAGON' DISH
QIANLONG SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The shallow, rounded sides rise to the slightly everted rim, and the interior is decorated with a five-clawed dragon leaping amidst clouds and flames in pursuit of a flaming pearl, below two dragons at a similar pursuit in the well. A similar dragon frieze is on the exterior above a petal lappet border. The decoration is in lemon-yellow glaze reserved on a blue ground.
