A PAIR OF RARE BLUE AND WHITE 'DRAGON' VASES, GANLANPING
QIANLONG/JIAQING PERIOD (1736-1820)
Each vase has an oviform body that tapers towards the somewhat waisted neck and the foot, and is decorated with two dragons, one descending from below a ruyi border at the flared rim and coiling around the neck amidst clouds and flames to confront the other shown rising from a band of wind-tossed waves.
